Water Polo

The UCL waterpolo team is looking to once again maintain our undefeated winning streak in this year’s varsity series. Having lost many key players who graduated last year, our recruitment drive was especially strong this year, recruiting more than 5 new first team players and also employing a professional coach. Our hard work both in and out of the pool is reaping benefits, with the team sitting at the top of the BUCS League table. Look out for our intricate team play in the pool as we look to bring home the trophy for the 6th consecutive year.

UCLSC have already had a successful year, winning the first two rounds of London League and finishing third at the annual Cambridge Gala. Our Captains, Becca Lin and Daniel Schinder, have also taken teams to two BUCS meets and seen some great performances that we're looking to replicate at this years Varsity. With our competitive team's new and improved training programme, our winning streak is set to continue, extending to individual and relay events and personal best times across the board. It's sure to be an exciting competition that will hopefully result in UCLSC remaining undefeated to Kings for 5 years in a row!

We have a mostly new team this season, but in starting fresh we’ve rebuilt from the ground-up. Team synchronicity was forged in the flames of competition, each win bringing us closer together. Team spirit was stoked higher every week, both in and out of the pool, creating unshakeable bonds. A new direction towards team tactics, perfected in practice, and executed in matches, catalysed the replacement of last year’s legends with this seasons heroes. We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against some of the best London has to offer, and we’re ready to ride this wave towards victory at Varsity!

The King's swim team has been revamped with a new batch of swimmers who'll rip up a storm at this year's varsity against UCL. The team has been hard at work preparing and training for this match up, so grab your tickets and come on down to the York Hall swimming pool in Bethnal Green and support this new generation of swimmers battle it out against our greatest rivals.
