The 2017/18 season has been an exciting one for UCL Men’s Rugby. This year the 1st XV were looking to assert their dominance in both the cup and league competitions, and they have done just that. However, retaining the Varsity trophy has been on the minds of the players and coaching team since the first session of the season, and the boys have worked exceedingly hard to ensure that London remains purple for at least one more year.

UCL Women’s Rugby, the infamous, the uni-renowned, the fabulous are ready to hit the stage once again for varsity. After gaining 30+ new members to our club this year our line-up is looking better than ever. Joining our ranks this year with a player from Harlequins and an ex-Durham lady, UCL Women’s Rugby’s pack is as strong as ever. We have had a smashing BUCS season this year with being undefeated and finishing top of the table, ready for promotion. This year we have been working on a speedy and slick attack, whilst continue with our known strong defensive line. This year all of our 70 members have been working hard with Varsity in their sights and we are ready to smash. Be ready everyone: BOSH, PRESSURE, WORK RATE.

We can't wait to get back to Allianz and reclaim our London Varsity series title. After a hugely encouraging second half to the season the squad and club as a whole are looking extremely strong and we are excited for what is always a hugely physical matchup, played to the highest quality and intensity

We’ve had A record intake of freshers this year which has really highlighted the interest of women’s rugby as a sport. A lot of girls had never played a game of rugby before and and so it is amazing to see how their skills have developed throughout the year. Alongside training with our coach Niall we’ve had gym sessions organised by King’s Sport to prepare us for games in our Bucs league 1A as well as Varsity. We have worked extremely hard this year and so it is worth coming to watch a team of passionate girls play the game they love. We look forward to defending the title for the third time this year against UCL and we’ll definitely put up a fight.
